The Carpenter willinstall, repair and maintain all fixtures and fittings deemed practical within the Hotel and Team Member Accommodation.

As a Handyperson you will:
Perform duties in line with departmental SOPs and hotel policies.
Maintain and repair domestic fixtures and fittings including coat hooks, hinges, door closers, etc.
Install, manufacture, and maintain wooden fittings throughout the Hotel and Hostel.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the workshop and technical maintenance areas.
Assist in the training and welcoming of new team members.
Carry a DECT phone and respond promptly to maintenance requests.
Report hazards and assist the engineering team in day-to-day operations and emergencies.
Monitor carpenter stock levels and liaise with the Building Supervisor for replenishments.
Support project work as required.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 to 2 years' experience in a hotel or hospitality maintenance environment.
French Polishing experience is essential.
Technical training or qualification in Carpentry.
Strong working knowledge of carpentry repair and property maintenance.
Positive attitude, resilience, and ability to work well under pressure.
Familiarity with H&S, COSHH, HACCP, and relevant hotel safety policies and procedures.
