Bidwell Brook School in Dartington, part of the Learn to Live Federation, is a Special School for children and young people aged 3 - 19 with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties.
You will support students as part of a class team. We offer a child centred curriculum and you will enable our students to access learning opportunities and to achieve their full potential both educationally and emotionally. You will help deliver pre-planned learning, care and therapy programmes in an inspiring learning environment.
Although previous experience of working with children in an educational setting is preferable, it is as important to be positive, have enthusiasm, empathy and a willingness to learn and follow instructions.
You will have excellent communication skills, be confident using IT, be flexible and resilient.
The vacancy is:
Monday to Friday (totalling 30 hours and 40 minutes) with a salary of hours are to with a 4pm finish on a Tuesday for a team meeting.
All positions are term time working, 39 weeks per year. Whilst we welcome applications from those looking for part-time hours, you will still be required to work the core hours of 8:50am to 3:20pm.
