Dermatology Out-Patients is a very busy department. Offering a mix of general, surgical and nurse-led clinics. The Registered Nursing Associate role in Dermatology is varied with the opportunity to work in all clinics with registered staff nurse support.

This role is primarily based at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, we do have a dermatology clinic at Cromer Hospital and any future expansion of the services may present an opportunity for cross site working.
The Registered Nursing Associate works closely with medical and nursing colleagues to offer dermatological care in a variety of settings.
In general clinics the RNA will support the clinician in caring for the patients’ needs and arranging any additional testing and ensuring the patient is on the correct clinical pathway.
In surgical clinics the RNA will surgically assist the clinician in operating lists, biopsies, excisions with flap and graft repairs and micrographic surgery are all undertaken in dermatology.
In nurse led clinics the RNA will work under the alongside supervision of a staff nurse in dressing and admission avoidance clinics supporting patients post operatively or with dermatological conditions.
Appropriate training and a supernumerary period will be offered based on the successful candidate’s needs.
