Premises Officer – LeicesterFull-time | Long Term Temporary | Immediate Start
I am working with a vibrant school in Leicester that is looking for a hands-on, dependable Premises Officer to join their team on a full-time temporary basis. If you’re someone who takes pride in keeping a site running smoothly, safely and efficiently, this role could be a great match.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
1. Support site security: keyholding, opening/locking the College, CCTV operation, responding to alarms, and monitoring access.
2. Act as a presence around the site—supervising public areas, managing car parks, and assisting with external lettings.
3. Serve as a Fire Marshal, carry out routine fire safety checks, and report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
4. Provide First Aid (training provided if needed).
5. Assist with day‑to‑day facilities tasks including deliveries, moving furniture, room setups, minor maintenance, light grounds duties, and occasional cleaning.
6. Ensure College policies on safeguarding, equality, and health & safety are upheld at all times.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
7. Previous school‑based experience in in a premises, caretaking or maintenance role
8. An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
9. Ability to lift, carry, and patrol the site indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
10. Willingness to work shifts, occasional weekends, and respond to call‑outs.
