Overview
A leading UK eCommerce business is looking for a Head of Digital to take ownership of performance marketing, with a primary focus on paid search and shopping channels.
This role will lead how digital acquisition is structured, optimised, and scaled, with a clear focus on driving revenue and improving efficiency across a large product catalogue.
The Role
As Head of Digital, you will be responsible for the performance of key paid channels, ensuring campaigns are set up to deliver consistent, profitable growth.
This is a hands-on position where you’ll combine strategic oversight with day-to-day optimisation, working closely with internal teams to align digital activity with commercial priorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Own paid search and shopping performance across Google and Microsoft Ads
* Set the direction for how campaigns are structured, managed, and scaled
* Oversee how product data is used within campaigns to improve visibility and performance
* Monitor results and continuously optimise to improve revenue and efficiency
* Align digital activity with trading priorities such as stock, pricing, and promotions
* Identify growth opportunities across channels and test new approaches
* Ensure clear and accurate performance reporting
* Act as the go-to expert for paid media within the business
Requirements
* Strong experience leading paid search and/or shopping in an eCommerce environment
* Proven track record managing large-scale or complex accounts
* Commercial mindset with a focus on revenue and efficiency
* Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Experience across additional paid channels (e.g. paid social)
* Familiarity with feed management or product data tools
* Experience with analytics platforms such as GA4
Working Setup
* Full-time role
* Hybrid: 3 days per week in Manchester office
Package
* £60,000 – £80,000 salary depending on experience
