Salary: £57,755 - £63,123 pro rata
Contractual hours: 18.5
Basis: Fixed Hours
Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice and management of outbreaks of any infectious diseases in care, housing, education and early years settings in Brighton and Hove, based on guidance and good practice.
* Visit settings to provide support and specialist clinical advice to build capacity for effective infection prevention and control practices.
* Lead and develop networks and engagement sessions to promote immunisation uptake, infection prevention and antimicrobial resistance awareness in a range of settings and with communities and professionals from diverse backgrounds.
* Be jointly responsible for providing vision, strategic direction and professional leadership for infection prevention and control in the city, taking into account the wider system pressures and corporate structures, working with partners across the city.
* Work both at home and in the Brighton and Hove City Council offices, based at Hove Town Hall, with the option of hybrid working. The role also includes visiting settings across Brighton and Hove as required.
Qualifications
* Registered nurse or other clinical/allied professional with a postgraduate qualification or equivalent in Health Protection or Infection Prevention and Control.
* Ability to provide leadership, advice and guidance on infection prevention and control in a range of settings.
* Motivation to join a dynamic, diverse and innovative team that works to prevent and control the spread of infections in Brighton and Hove.
