Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Short-term & Long-term roles available
Employer: Teaching Personnel

Salary: (£90 - £100 per day based on experience)

About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking committed and compassionate individuals to join our team as 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistants in partnership secondary schools across North Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by providing tailored support that helps them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support, helping them to access the curriculum and develop essential life skills. You will collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide individualised support to students with a range of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
* Assist students in accessing lessons, completing tasks, and developing confidence in their abilities.
* Implement strategies and interventions outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social interaction.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to adapt resources and learning activities.
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.

* Experience working in schools or with young people is desirable but not essential.
* A genuine passion for supporting students with SEN and helping them achieve their potential.
* Transferable skills such as patience, empathy, resilience, and strong communication.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A proactive and flexible approach to working in a school environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
