Job overview
The Senior Clinical Research Midwife will be responsible for the set-up, management, coordination, and facilitation of a portfolio of research studies within the Women’s Health Research Delivery Unit (RDU3).
The post holder will:
* Work autonomously as part of the core team supporting the Women’s Health research agenda.
* Provide specialist advice and support to colleagues through the research process, from assessing feasibility to clinical pathways and study delivery.
* Manage the requirements and demand for research midwives and other research staff support across Women’s Health to deliver the research portfolio, including recruitment.
* Manage their own portfolio of clinical trials independently.
* Lead the research midwife team, monitor and improve care standards, and implement team objectives. Provide line management where appropriate.
* Complete research documentation and collect study data from participants.
* Work closely with the R&I Leads for Women’s Health and Fetal Medicine to promote Women’s Health research within the Trust and local networks.
* Maintain strong relationships with clinical colleagues to foster a positive research culture and evidence-based practice.

* Practice with advanced knowledge and skills.
Research Management
* Lead delegated studies, ensuring development, implementation, and adherence to Good Clinical Practice and Governance Framework.
