AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth among small, mid-market, and enterprise customers, including the public sector. The AWS Support team partners with customers building mission-critical applications on AWS.

AWS entered China in 2013 and has since expanded its infrastructure and business. It launched its China (Beijing) Region in 2016, operated by Sinnet, and the China (Ningxia) Region in 2017, operated by NWCD. In 2019, AWS added a region in Hong Kong, making China the only country with three AWS regions besides the U.S. In 2022, AWS launched a Local Zone in Taipei and established labs in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Taipei. The AWS Partner Network includes thousands of partners in China, supporting over 10,000 startups and providing cloud skills training to over 700,000 talents. AWS has also invested in renewable energy projects in China.
Key job responsibilities
· Drive revenue and market share in Retail & CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) in China, focusing on E-commerce or other areas assigned by Amazon.
· Identify and engage Retail & CPG customers or other assigned customers.
· Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets.
· Develop and execute comprehensive account/territory plans.
· Accelerate customer adoption.
· Maintain a robust sales pipeline and reporting.
· Collaborate with partners to extend reach and drive adoption.
· Possess the ability to explain cloud computing concepts and infrastructure solutions (servers, storage, data center services) and internet architectures (firewalls, load balancers, etc.).
· Develop case studies.
· Manage contract negotiations.
· Build long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
· Develop account plans for key accounts and territory.
· Ensure customer satisfaction throughout pre-sales and post-sales experiences.
· Expect moderate travel within the region (North, East, South, or Central).

Minimum qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· 7+ years of direct sales or business development experience in software, cloud, or SaaS markets, selling to C-level executives
· 7+ years of experience in business development, partner development, sales, or alliances management
Preferred qualifications:
· Knowledge or experience in Retail & CPG or e-commerce industries
· Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
