* Working flexible shifts on various wards throughout Haywood Hospital, providing care and support to people when they are unwell, vulnerable, or unsure.

Qualifications / Certifications
* Pass an enhanced background check.
* References covering the last two years (employment, professional, academic, or from Job Centre/Benefits Office).
* 3 months clinical reference from NHS, private sector, or care home.
* Immunisations: Hep B, TB, Varicella, and MMR.

Development and opportunities
As a new Healthcare Assistant, you will be supported to complete the Care Certificate to maximise future NHS opportunities. For experienced HCAs, there are opportunities to study for qualifications such as the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Healthcare Support Services and the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support.

Main Duties / Responsibilities
* Washing and dressing patients
* Serving meals and helping to feed patients
* Assisting patients to move and feel more comfortable
* Making beds and supporting other healthcare staff
* Monitoring patients by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight
* Sterilising equipment and restocking consulting rooms, trolleys, and stations
* Carrying out health checks, taking blood samples, and processing lab samples
