Marketing and Communications Coordinator - Online

Supporting the Senior Online Experience Manager, you will assist in the delivery of a corporate digital marketing strategy to enhance online provision of information to ratepayers and stakeholders. Working as part of the department as a key player to ensure a flexible, integrated approach to the overall Marketing and Communications Strategy.
You will have responsibility for:
* assisting in the development of proactive marketing and communications plans;
* supporting the planning and implementation of online content for a suite of websites, aligned to the council’s programmes and activities;
* evaluating all communications activity and looking for ways to improve our impact.
About the department
This department leads onstrategic communications, marketing, and public engagement, ensuring that council activities areeffectively communicated to residents, businesses, and stakeholders. Key functions include:
* Campaigns, Press & Social Media– developing and delivering strategic communication priorities for council; providing a strong reactive media and social media service; assisting in the development of proactive marketing and communications plans for departments.
* Marketing & Brand– co-ordinating and delivering integrated marketing campaigns encompassing advertising, public relations, publications, digital marketing and social media – through working closely with a wide range of stakeholders; providing advice on the use and promotion of council and city brands.
* Internal Communications– Developing and implementing an internal communications strategy for Belfast City Council which includes sharing news and information with staff through a range of online and offline channels.
* Online Experience– Looks after the council’s online estate, ensuring that our audiences and citizens can easily find and access accurate information through our websites and email marketing.
This team works to enhance Belfast’s reputation, promote civic engagement, and support council initiatives.
