Door Staff - Billing Aquadrome - Northampton, Northamptonshire Location : Billing Aquadrome NN3 9DA Contract: Seasonal, Friday and Saturday Nights Salary: Minimum Wage Job Summary Door Staff (Door Supervisors) are responsible for maintaining safety and security at venues such as bars, nightclubs, events, and private functions. They control entry to the premises, ensure customers follow venue rules, and help prevent disturbances or unsafe situations. Key Responsibilities Check identification and verify the age of customers. Control entry and exit of customers to the venue. Ensure the venue does not exceed its capacity. Monitor behaviour and prevent fights, disorder, or illegal activity. Refuse entry to intoxicated or aggressive individuals. Handle conflicts calmly and professionally. Assist in safely removing disruptive individuals if necessary. Work closely with management and security teams. Respond to emergencies and follow safety procedures. Complete incident reports when required. Skills and Requirements Strong communication and conflict-management skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Good observation and decision-making skills. Professional and approachable attitude. Physically fit and able to stand for long periods. Qualifications (UK) A valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) Door Supervisor Licence is required to work legally as door staff in the UK. First aid training is often desirable.
