Salary: £40,777 - £45,091 pro rata per year
Contract: 3 days (22.5 hours) per week

Swansea Council is seeking a passionate and committed individual to join our Countryside Team as a part-time project officer, working in Gower. This is a temporary grant funded post until at least 31 March 2027, working 3 days per week.
You will play a key role in delivering projects that support the conservation and enhancement of the Gower National Landscape, contributing to climate action, nature recovery, and community engagement. The successful candidate will work strategically with stakeholders including Welsh Government, Natural Resources Wales, and our local delivery partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver projects aligned with the Gower Management Plan and Council priorities
* Provide advice on National Landscape matters
* Play a lead role in strategic policy development and implementation
* Liaise with internal departments and external organisations to ensure project delivery and compliance with grant conditions
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience in environmental project delivery and stakeholder engagement
* Strong understanding of landscape conservation
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
