Job Title: Landscaping Manager Location: Multi Site Salary: 45k and van provided Reports to: Projects Manager To lead the design, installation, and ongoing upkeep of high-quality, safe, and inspiring outdoor environments across all nursery settings. This includes managing new site installations as part of construction projects, and now also overseeing the in-house landscaping team responsible for the ongoing care, seasonal refresh, and minor upgrades of existing gardens and outdoor spaces. The Landscaping Manager ensures all nursery outdoor areas meet the brand’s high standards for learning, play, aesthetics, and sustainability — year-round. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery (New Builds & Major Refurbs) Oversee delivery of new play gardens as part of construction projects. Manage landscape design, materials, suppliers, and contractors. Ensure projects meet specifications, safety, quality, and timeline requirements. Oversight of Internal Landscaping Team Oversight of internal landscaping staff responsible for: Planting, replanting, and seasonal updates Lawn and garden upkeep Minor fencing/surface repairs Site-level landscaping issue response Create and manage seasonal work schedules and visit rotas across sites. Conduct site walk-throughs and quality inspections. Maintenance & Refresh Planning Create and maintain an annual plan for planting and landscaping refreshes across the estate. Work with the Projects and Facilities teams to integrate landscaping needs into annual site maintenance budgets and schedules. Identify sites needing priority interventions (e.g. poor drainage, overgrown planting, damaged turf, etc.). Health & Safety / Compliance Ensure all outdoor installations are safe, compliant, and suitable for Early Years settings (e.g. fall heights, surfaces, access routes). Maintain records of inspections, materials used, and any remediation. Train internal team on appropriate use of tools, safe work practices, and hazard identification. Supplier & Contractor Management Procure and manage relationships with: Plant and turf suppliers Outdoor equipment/furniture suppliers Landscape contractors for surfacing, fencing, etc. Ensure delivery on time, on budget, and to specification.
