Budmouth Academy is a large 11-18 academy in a beautiful part of the country and is a member of the Aspirations Academies Trust. We are looking for an exceptional and highly experienced individual to play an important role in our unique school

This is an ideal opportunity for someone wishing to step up into a middle leadership role and gain invaluable experience in continuing to build and develop the successful team.

We are looking for an experienced teacher wishing to further develop their career in departmental leadership who has a passion for teaching Maths and enabling the progression of our students. This is a new and exciting role for the Academy and we are looking for an individual who will make a significant contribution to our large and experienced team. Candidates must be able to teach across the ability and age range, supporting Maths to the highest standards for all pupils at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.

We are looking for someone who will:

* inspire, motivate and influence staff and students, taking a leading role in maintaining the highest standards within the Academy.
* lead on developing curriculum areas and teaching, learning and feedback within the department, ensuring pupil progress is regularly assessed, with a focus on building a collaborative team ethos across the Academy and Sixth Form. You will play a key role in the strategic development of the department and the supportive development of the Maths team.
* focus on assisting to drive attainment in Maths, raising the profile of all aspects of the Maths curriculum and extra-curricular offer, and will involve working with colleagues, leaders, and pupils/students to obtain the highest levels of engagement.
* demonstrate excellent teaching and classroom management skills.
* Demonstrate a commitment to developing curriculum activities within Maths
* be a committed team player with a shared focus on teaching, learning and curriculum development.
