OverviewOur client, a leading venture capital firm based in central London are looking for a Fund Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, responsible for managing the quarterly reporting, and general fund operations. This role is a 6 months paternity cover to start early March 2026.
DescriptionThe duties and responsibilities for this Temporary Fund & Portfolio Accountant role include, but are not limited to:
* Contribute to fund accounting operations, including the preparation and calculation of financial and operating metrics.
* Support quarterly reporting processes and review annual tax filings where applicable.
* Ensure financial regulatory reporting complies with relevant local and international frameworks, fund LPAs, and accounting standards.
* Act as a point of contact for external stakeholders, including auditors, legal advisers, banks, and fund administrators.
* Support the preparation of capital calls and distributions, including drafting and issuing related investor communications.
* Monitor fund cash positions and liquidity.
* Produce valuation and accounting reports, contributing to portfolio monitoring and investment valuations.
* Deliver ad hoc analysis and reporting for senior leadership.
SkillsThe skills and experience required for this Temporary Fund & Portfolio Accountant role include, but are not limited to:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) ideally from Big 4.
* Relevant experience in fund accounting.
* High proficiency in Excel.
* Experience working in Venture Capital is desirable.
* Excellent communicator, experience of working with third parties.
* Strong attention to detail.
