We now have an exciting opportunity within the business for an Inventory Controller. The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records in SAP, reflecting all stock movements between co-packers and third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses. This includes recording receipts, dispatches, adjustments, and write-offs, as well as reconciling monthly stock reports from 3PLs against SAP records. The role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies. Key Responsibilities: Stock Movement Recording : Accurately record all stock movements in SAP, including receipts, dispatches, adjustments, and write-offs, ensuring alignment with physical transactions between co-packers and 3PL warehouses. Reconciliation : Reconcile end-of-month stock reports from 3PL warehouses against SAP records, identify and investigate discrepancies, and make necessary adjustments in the system. Inventory Adjustments : Process inventory adjustments in SAP as required, ensuring that all changes are documented and authorized. Communication & Coordination : Collaborate with co-packers, 3PL warehouses, and internal teams to resolve inventory discrepancies and ensure timely and accurate stock reporting. Reporting : Prepare and present regular inventory reports, highlighting key metrics, discrepancies, and any necessary corrective actions. Compliance : Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management, and support internal and external audits as needed. Process Improvement : Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and improve inventory management processes and controls. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, preferably within the FMCG industry. Ideally, chilled supply chain experience. Experience with SAP / SAP B1 inventory management modules is essential. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices related to stocks. Ability to handle large amounts of data efficiently. Advanced (no VBA) Excel skills essential. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high volumes of transactions accurately. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
