Are you an experienced and forward-thinking Pharmacist ready to shape the future of medicines governance and quality improvement?
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Pharmacist to join our Medicines Information team at NHS Highland. This is an exciting time to join us as we diversify our service to lead on quality improvement (QI) projects that enhance patient safety, service innovation, and governance.
About the Role
You will play a key role in shaping and delivering a new portfolio of work, including:
1. Governance around access to medicines and shortage management
2. Leading QI initiatives to improve patient and service outcomes
3. Delivering education and training across the pharmacy workforce
4. Providing a clinical commitment to a specialist area. We will strive to find a good fit for you and the service.
Youll also have the opportunity to mentor and supervise other pharmacy professionals, and deliver training sessions on clinical and governance topics.
What were looking for
5. A GPhC registered Pharmacist
6. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
7. A passion for driving change and improving patient care
8. An Independent Prescriber qualification is desirable
9. Experience from any sector of pharmacy we value transferable skills
Development & Support
We are committed to supporting our Pharmacists to achieve RPS Core Advanced Credentialing, offering:
10. 5 development days per year
11. A peer support group
12. A dedicated Lead Education and Training Pharmacist for Advanced Practice
Additional Information
13. Participation in the emergency on-call rota (currently 1 in 25) and occasional weekend working and public holidays.
