Learning Disability and Autism Support Coach

We deliver high-quality training across the Health, Housing, and Social Care sectors nationwide and are proud to be the the provider holding the Skills for Care quality mark for the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training in Learning Disability and Autism.
We’re now looking for a Learning Disability and Autism Support Coach to join our friendly, fast-growing team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in care environments such as hospitals, care homes, or personalised support services who is keen to move into a supportive training and development role with real impact.
What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting our (EWLE) Experts with Lived Experience of a learning disability or autism to deliver high-quality training.
* Helping with diary planning, travel arrangements, expenses, and day-to-day organisation.
* Supporting EWLE trainers to develop person-centred skills and meaningful employment plans.
* Acting as a welcoming first point of contact for new EWLE candidates and their families or support networks.
* Coordinating training sessions, onboarding processes, and ongoing support for new trainers.
* Providing pastoral support and promoting wellbeing.
* Working closely with the wider and hugely knowledgeable, UTS team to deliver engaging training programmes across the UK.
About you:
You don’t need prior experience in this specific role — we’ll provide full training and support. What matters most is your passion and transferable experience, including:
* 2 years + experience in care & support, with (social care, healthcare), or employment services (e.g. hospital, care home, social care, supported employment) supporting adults with learning disabilities or autism.
* A genuine commitment to empowering people with learning disabilities and autistic people to succeed.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Good IT skills, including Word, Excel, and a willingness to learn new systems.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* A positive, relationship-focused approach and strong team spirit.
* Enthusiasm, initiative, and a desire to grow professionally.

Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am–4:00pm
