Main duties of the job
The post requires a medically qualified individual with full GMC registration and a current license to practice. UK-trained applicants must hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within six months of award at the time of interview. Non-UK trained applicants must demonstrate UK CCT equivalence (CESR) or be within six months of obtaining it.
The role involves a high level of competence in diagnostic histopathology and participation in departmental audits. Applicants with or without subspecialty interests are encouraged to apply. Those unable to work full-time for personal reasons are also welcome.

Job responsibilities
This is a fixed-term position within a team of six Consultant Histopathologists sharing surgical cut-up and reporting duties. The department covers all main diagnostic specialties, including breast, urology, gastrointestinal, skin, and gynecology, with additional specialties like lung. There is no sessional commitment to cytopathology.

Person Specification
* Consultant Histopathologist with at least five years of experience
* Experience with NHSE Screening programs
* Participation in training and supervision of trainees
* Willingness to develop a subspecialty interest
* Participation in QA, CPD, and BSI ISO:15189 accreditation
* Relevant research published in peer-reviewed journals
