Oculus Legal Group are partnered with a Global Private Client business who are looking for a 2-5 PQE Private Client Solicitor to join their growing team in London.
Position Overview
Seeking a junior-mid level lawyer to join their Private Wealth & Tax team. The role will focus on advising high-net-worth individuals and families on a broad range of wealth structuring, succession planning, and international tax matters. The successful candidate will work closely with senior lawyers and partners, contributing to both client delivery and the growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide advice on UK personal taxation, including income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax, with a focus on clients with international connections.
* Support clients with structuring solutions such as trusts, family investment companies, and cross-border holding arrangements.
* Draft estate planning documents including wills and powers of attorney. Collaborate with colleagues across offices on multi-jurisdictional matters, including residence, domicile, and migration planning.
* Participate in business development, knowledge sharing, and profile-raising initiatives, including presentations and thought leadership.
* Assist with corporate and trust documentation such as shareholder resolutions, intra-group agreements, and related contracts.
* Stay current with legislative and regulatory developments affecting private wealth clients.
* Contribute to practice management through accurate time recording and effective workflow management.
Candidate Profile
* Qualified solicitor (England & Wales or another common law jurisdiction), or with an equivalent professional qualification (e.g. CTA, STEP, ACA, ADIT).
* Demonstrable experience advising on UK and international estate planning, private client tax, and trust matters.
* Exposure to cross-border restructurings and relocation planning would be advantageous. Strong academic background with proven analytical and drafting skills.
* Ability to balance technical precision with commercial and client-focused advice. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
* Strong interpersonal skills and capable of building trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and external advisers.
