: Lead DevOps Engineer
Location : London (2 days week on site)
Duration : 6 Months
Status : Inside IR35
Rate: Circa £/Day
Candidate will lead a small team of talented engineers, driving the development and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation of our services.
Experience and skills Required:
1. Proven experience as a DevOps Lead, with leading small teams.
2. Extensive experience with Azure public cloud services.
3. Proficiency in Terraform and Chef for IaC and configuration management.
4. Strong understanding of IaaS and PaaS solutions.
5. Experience with distributed computing environments.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
8. A proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
Responsibilities:
9. Lead and manage a small team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
10. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure using Azure public cloud.
11. Utilize Terraform and Chef for infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management.
12. Manage both Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions.
13. Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of distributed computing environments.
14. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align DevOps practices with business objectives.
15. Monitor and optimize system performance, implementing best practices for security and compliance.
16. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
17. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
