My client is seeking a Senior Risk and Compliance Manager to join its London-based Risk and Compliance team. This senior role will focus on financial crime compliance across the UK and E&A, working closely with the COLP and MLRO, and managing a team of analysts.
What you’ll do
* Lead the financial crime function and provide expert advice on AML, sanctions, bribery, fraud, tax evasion and market abuse.
* Support the MLRO with SARs, regulatory responses and policy updates.
* Oversee and develop the AML team, ensuring high-quality service and effective systems.
* Deliver training and act as a key point of contact for partners and staff.
* Advise on broader compliance issues, including conflicts, confidentiality and professional conduct.
What we’re looking for
* Qualified solicitor or barrister with 3+ PQE.
* Experience in law firm compliance or a regulatory practice area.
* Strong knowledge of financial crime legislation (POCA, MLRs, LSAG guidance, sanctions, Bribery Act, Criminal Finances Act, ECCTA).
* Previous management experience essential.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
* Organised, proactive and confident leading change.
