Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Aneurin Bevan Finance Costing Team. The Finance Manager PLICS has responsibility for managing the Health Board's Patient Level Costing System, developing the existing costing data and engaging with managers and clinicians to ensure PLICS is utilised effectively in ABUHB.
Applicants should be qualified accountants with substantial costing experience who can demonstrate successful delivery of projects and service improvement.
Main Duties
The Costing team is responsible for the development of the Health Board’s Patient Level Information and Costing System (PLICS), which brings together patient activity with financial data. It provides a rich source of information to help understand how NHS resources are used. The role will require working with a wide range of stakeholders across both Finance and Clinical Services. This is a diverse and rewarding role that will allow you to help improve our patient services, financial sustainability and assist professionals in key decision‑making.
Strong communication and presentation skills are as important as analytical ability, as the role will need to build relationships both within and outside the organisation, alongside interpreting complex output and providing advice to a wide range of information users.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

* Demonstrable experience of delivery, including projects, to challenging deadlines, within a demanding environment.

* Ability to analyse and appropriately present often highly complex information.
