Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes is recruiting a leading organisation in the Energy from Waste sector to appoint a plant manager to lead whilst the site is preparing for full operation.
The Role
You will be critical in preparing the site for safe, efficient, and sustainable operations ahead of commissioning. Responsibilities include:
* Lead a safety‑first culture, ensuring everyone goes home safe everyday
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards
* Oversee day to day operations and long‑term performance
* Deliver outage plans, reliability improvements and CI initiatives
* Own the site P&L, overseeing budgeting and forecasting
* Lead and develop the site leadership team
About you
We are looking for a candidate who can build strong relationships and focus on collaborative success. You will have:
* Extensive senior people management experience within a large, technical or operational environment, with a proven track record of leading complex teams.
* Strong financial acumen, including demonstrated experience owning and managing a P&L, and comfort implementing and operating within a corporate management system.
* Senior management experience in power generation or a comparable process‑driven environment, along with significant experience managing commercial and operational contracts.
* A degree level qualification (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline and a full UK driving licence is essential.
This position will suit someone who is accountable, performance driven, results focused and can deliver in a high‑pressure operational environment whilst building strong relationships and focusing on collaborative success.
