This is a field-based role comprising of regular scheduled visits, ad hoc and emergency visits as required to our current and future schools. The successful candidate will need to travel between schools; therefore, a driving licence is essential. Please note that the salary offer has taken into consideration travel costs, and no additional travel expenses will be included.
Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Field IT Technician to work across our Primary and Secondary schools at GLF Schools. The successful candidate will benefit from working with a lively and dedicated IT team supporting one another through varying issues from O365 to legacy teaching hardware across our sites.
Responsibilities
* Provide first- and second-line support in the field, generally to a given region.
* Work with a range of systems and users with varying skills, and find solutions to issues affecting all aspects of IT.
* Collaboration with the Trust IT team, Service Delivery Manager and Head of Operations while building relationships with our 43 schools' teachers and staff.
* Help transform education and support the school’s technology needs.
Qualifications / Experience
* Minimum 1‑2 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Experience with hardware and software, including installation, configuration and deployment.
* Intelligent and enthusiastic with the ability to think outside the box to solve issues independently.
* Effective collaboration with wider IT and school teams.
