Our client requires an occupational therapist to join their multidisciplinary team who care for pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs. Location: London /Edgware Hours: Full Time - Monday - Thursday 8:45am - 4:00pm, on Fridays from 8:45am to 12:30pm. They strive to provide effective, specialist education and support to pupils which will allow them to achieve their full potential in education and life. Job Role: *Assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment plans *Review goals and outcomes as presented in Education, Health and Care Plans and if necessary, establish new realistic goals with the pupil and staff *Keep up-to-date written and electronic records *Write reports and contribute to documentation required for each pupil *Attend multidisciplinary case meetings to plan and review ongoing treatment *Advise fellow staff members on the needs of pupils *Coach pupils in practical and life skills, e.g. in handling money, writing, organisation, and social interaction *Treat pupils for their sensory needs, including creating sensory diets *Mentor pupils on how to control their own behaviour.
