We are looking for a part time Prescription Clerk (circa 20 hours per week) to join our team in the Abbeyview Surgery.
The position offers 6 weeks holiday, pro rata, together with Bank Holidays and inclusion in NHS pension scheme.
Main duties of the job
Processroutine prescription requests (via Syst1, email and paper repeats)
Liaisewith Practice Manager and clinical team with any areas of concern.
Liaisewith medicines management team relating to any queries.
Ensurethat patients are notified immediately of any medicines changes.
Ifa medication review for a patient is overdue, book the patient with theclinical pharmacist.
Ifthere is a manufacturer's or supply problem, liaise with the chemist ormedicines optimisation team for an alternative. Issue prescription andadvise patient of the change
Addnew patients' medication and pass to GP.
Checkfor over and under usage of medication.
Deletemedications that have not been issued for 12 months (every three months).
Anyother reasonable administrative duties as directed.
General Responsibilities:
Maintainpatient confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
Followpractice protocols and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Participatein ongoing professional development and mandatory training.
Contributeto practice improvements and participate in audits.
