An exciting Band 6 role has arisen within Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join a new rotation. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career, gain specialist clinical skills, support and supervise others, and participate in service development.

Main duties of the job
The rotations will be 9 months each and include:
* Stroke
* Trauma and Orthopaedics
* Medical & Surgical
* Elderly Care
You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills, and experience in an acute hospital setting.

Qualifications
* Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
* HCPC Registration
* Membership of a Professional Body
* Membership of a special interest group
* Post-graduate training in relevant short courses
Experience
* Post-qualification experience in a physical setting
* Evidence of personal and professional development
* Experience working as part of an MDT
* Experience leading and influencing others, including OT colleagues
* Experience in leading and contributing to audits
* Experience in service improvement
* Understanding of common medical, surgical, neurology, trauma, orthopaedics, and elderly care conditions
* Application of OT theory in inpatient treatment
Skills
* Commitment to multidisciplinary working
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
