Job Description: Interim Group Reporting Consultant
Location: London (Hybrid – 2-3 days in the office)
Length: 6-month Contract
Day Rate: £450–£500 per day (Outside IR35)
Start: Immediate / within 1 week
Reports To: Group Financial Controller
Business: Confidential PE-Backed International Infrastructure Provider
Stanton House is working with a high-growth, PE-backed infrastructure business in London to recruit a Group Reporting Consultant on a 6-month interim basis. With a revenue of £300m and backed by a prominent large-cap investor, the Group Financial Controller needs a solid interim to support with the December year-end.
Responsibilities:
Year-End & Group Close
* Support the December year-end consolidation and group close process.
* Prepare consolidated financial statements and year-end reporting packs under IFRS.
* Manage intercompany eliminations, FX adjustments, and consolidation journals.
* Ensure accurate and timely submissions from international finance teams.
Audit & Technical Accounting
* Act as a key contact for PwC during interim and year-end audit cycles.
* Prepare audit deliverables, technical papers, and supporting documentation.
* Address complex IFRS queries across areas such as revenue, leases, financial instruments, impairments, and asset-heavy infrastructure projects.
* Strengthen documentation and policy clarity during the year-end cycle.
Process, Controls & Systems
* Operate effectively within a rapidly evolving environment with less mature processes.
* Identify opportunities to streamline close activities and enhance data accuracy.
* Support improvements to financial controls and reporting governance.
* Work hands-on with Oracle, supporting improvements and data integrity.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Collaborate with regional finance teams across multiple countries.
* Provide high-quality reporting and insight to the Group Financial Controller.
* Communicate clearly and proactively in an environment with shifting priorities.
* Bring structure and rigour to the year-end timetable and deliverables.
Criteria:
* Qualified Accountant
* Strong technical accounting background with deep IFRS experience.
* Proven track record in group reporting for large or complex international organisations.
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with evolving systems.
* Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and managing complex audits.
* Proficient in Excel and familiar with Oracle or similar ERP systems.
* Immediate or one-week availability.
Preferred, but not essential
* Big Four audit training (e.g., ACA) is helpful but not required.
* Experience in PE-backed, asset-heavy telecoms, infrastructure, or technology sectors.
* Experience in process improvement or finance transformation initiatives.
