Job Summary
Southport Old Links Golf Club is seeking an experienced and motivated Food & Beverage Manager / Head Chef to lead and develop our clubhouse hospitality operation. This is a key role within the club, responsible for delivering a high-quality, welcoming experience for members, guests and visitors across bar, catering and events.

The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the club's Food & Beverage operation, effectively functioning as Head Chef for all catering provision, with a particular focus on functions and events.
Therefore, you will be acting as the operational lead for catering with experience in high quality food preparation being a key part ofyour role. You will oversee bar, kitchen and service teams, manage functions and events catering, and ensure the highest standards of service, compliance and financial control are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
* Full day-to-day control and management of the Food & Beverage operation, including planning, producing and delivering high-quality catering for club events, functions and daily service
* Ensuring appropriate staffing levels with suitably trained and qualified bar, kitchen and service staff
* Recruitment, training, development and ongoing management of the Food & Beverage team
* Managing performance against agreed control measures, including gross profit margins, wage percentages, stock levels, waste and productivity
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and customer service levels throughout all front-of-house, bar and kitchen areas
* Preparing and maintaining documented procedures and operational guidelines
* Working closely with the General Manager, House Committee and Social Committee to support club activities and events
* Ensuring full compliance with club policies and all relevant legislation including licensing, food safety, health & safety and employment requirements
* Acting as Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) on behalf of the club
What We're Looking For
You will be a hands-on catering and hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering excellent service.
Essential experience and qualifications include:
* Cheffing background and experience in a busy kitchen environment
* Proven experience in bar and kitchen operations, ideally in a management role
* Strong understanding of hospitality industry standards and financial controls
* Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Fire Safety knowledge
* Confident people manager with experience in training and developing teams
Desirable experience and qualifications include:
* Personal Licence holder with experience acting as DPS
* Food Hygiene Certificate Level 3
* First Aid qualification
* Experience in cellar management and line cleaning

Pay: £30,000.00-£37,500.00 per year
