Site Engineer – Civil Engineering (TPU – Huddersfield)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor on a major infrastructure scheme in Huddersfield, as part of the Transpennine Route Upgrade (TPU). This is a key role with a strong focus on setting out and groundworks, supporting critical early-stage construction works.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurate setting out for drainage, foundations, formwork, and utilities
* Ensure work is delivered in line with design specifications and quality standards
* Daily site briefings, progress reporting, and QA documentation
* Coordinate with site managers, subcontractors, and design teams
* Monitor HSEQ compliance on site
Requirements:
* Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
* Proven experience in groundworks and setting out on major civils/infrastructure projects
* Competency with Total Station/GPS surveying equipment and CAD software
* Strong understanding of CDM and temporary works
* Valid CSCS and ideally SMSTS/SSSTS
