The company is an ambitious and expanding provider of Power & Tools solutions, recognised for high-quality products and outstanding service. As part of a major growth phase, the company is establishing Scotland’s first location for its Power & Tools division. This role will take end-to-end ownership of the new branch. Overseeing creation, fit-out and start-up, before building, leading and developing a high-performing team. Success will be measured by sustainable growth, customer loyalty, and rigorous adherence to the company’s equipment quality and service standards across Scotland.
Package
* Salary: £53,000 basic + 12.5% annual bonus
* Benefits: Company car & private medical insurance
* Contract: Full-time, permanent
* Location & scope: Livingston base with travel across Scotland; occasional travel to the European support office in the Netherlands
* Working pattern: Daytime, branch-based leadership with flexibility to meet operational needs
* Holidays & pension: 25 days + bank holidays
* Tools & support: All necessary training, systems and resources to launch/scale the branch
Responsibilities
* Lead the creation, fit-out and start-up of Scotland’s first Power & Tools branch for the company.
* Recruit, motivate, coach and develop a cohesive Scottish team.
* Drive operational performance, efficiency and continuous improvement across service, maintenance and logistics.
* Ensure timely, cost-effective maintenance and repair of the rental fleet to meet quality and safety standards.
* Plan and oversee delivery, installation and removal of equipment on customer sites.
* Champion compliance with internal and external QHSE policies and procedures.
* Contribute to and implement Europe-wide initiatives and best practices.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Operations or Branch Manager within the Power/Tools, Rental, or related industrial/technical sector.
* Strong track record leading technical operations or service departments, including workforce planning and resource allocation.
* Solid understanding of quality management systems, planning and logistics.
* Demonstrated ability to improve maintenance, safety, quality and customer service through data-driven, continuous improvement.
* Experience in change management; familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and ISO accreditation.
* Confident team builder with the ability to attract, develop and retain talent.
* Proficient in English (written and verbal) and MS Office; comfortable with digital systems.
