An exciting opportunity has arisen for an R&I Finance Officer to join us to support the R&I Business Finance Manager in ensuring sufficient budgetary control of R&I Grants with accurate, timely, and useful information.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring accurate reporting internally and externally to support the Trust in managing its R&I Grant financial information.
2. Being proactive and highly motivated with strong IT skills, competent in Microsoft Office and computerised ledger systems.
3. Understanding the accounting function and planning workload to meet strict and conflicting deadlines.
4. Processing financial information according to procedures and providing monthly reports through collaboration with colleagues within the division.
5. Investigating complex financial inquiries and providing advice as needed.
6. Producing relevant, timely, and accurate reports to care organizations and group services, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and advising on queries.
7. Recharging significant trust invoices and providing reconciliations to R&I codes in a clear format.
8. Supporting team development through guidance, support, coaching, and shadowing.
9. Using Pivot tables and advanced Excel skills to manipulate data, present findings monthly, and support the annual NIHR Grant ASTOX submission.
10. Supporting the development of the R&I Finance Team and undertaking ad-hoc tasks as required.
