Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B male prison. Join a team that works Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven family, committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment.
HMP Bullingdon operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of staff to keep it functioning. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will contribute to the smooth and safe operation of the facility, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.
In this role, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators—all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements
* Two years' experience working as a plumber or equivalent
* Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements
* Experience with commercial or industrial heating and water systems
* Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards
* Qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and Heating), and NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
* Good health and safety knowledge
* Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
