UX Researcher – Digital Interaction Hybrid (3 days a week)
Are you passionate about testing, prototyping, and shaping digital experiences that people love to use? We're looking for a UX Researcher to join a cutting-edge automotive design team and play a vital role in building the next generation of in-vehicle digital interaction.
This is a an initial 11 month contract, which will be extended or flipped over to permanent. It is paying £200 a day (£25 an hour)
You’ll work hands-on across immersive environments (think VR, static simulators, and real vehicles), planning and running user testing that drives meaningful design decisions. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone delivery-focused and excited about blending digital design with physical interaction.
What you’ll be doing:
* Plan and run usability tests on in-vehicle systems and interactive prototypes
* Work with UX Designers to uncover friction points and improve usability
* Capture and present user insights clearly and effectively
* Support concept validation and final product evaluation
* Create personas, benchmarks, and user journeys as needed
* Be a key part of agile sprint planning and iterative design cycles
What we’re looking for:
Must-Have:
* Experience in UX research and usability testing
* Solid grasp of user-centred design principles
* Comfortable testing physical and digital prototypes (VR, simulators, etc.)
* Excellent communicator with a proactive, team-oriented approach
* Full UK driving licence
Nice to Have:
* Exposure to automotive UX or driver distraction principles
* Knowledge of accessibility best practices
* Familiarity with tools like eye-tracking, user testing platforms, analytics
* Experience in cross-functional teams (e.g. developers, designers)
