Our client is a leading manufacturer, part of a larger group, with a reputation for product quality, which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for an experienced, performance driven Shift Manager, to lead, coach & develop their shift teams.
Role & Responsibilities:
Responsible for shift management of all production & dispatch areas
Leading a team of 2 supervisors and X30 production & dispatch operatives
Coach, motivate, challenge, drive performance
Monitor & deliver KPi's - safety, quality, output, waste, efficiency
Staff training & development plans, disciplinaries, appraisals, reviews
Production planning, use of SAP, identify bottlenecks, suggest improvements
Introduce lean manufacturing technologies and empower a positive culture
Health & safety management and quality control
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Must be a strong man-manager, drive performance and challenge people
Coach / leader - strong character, able to set the tone and lead from the front
Must have worked in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong sense of accountability and ownership
Strong problem solver, track record of delivering results
IOSH Health & Safety / NEBOSH - desirable
Ideally experience of using SAP
Experienced in training & developing people
Knowledge of lean manufacturing & CI tools
