Morning Only Reception SEN Teaching Assistant - Wolverhampton
Are you passionate about supporting individual students' learning journeys? Do you have experience working with children with SEN? Aspire People is seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to work in a school in Wolverhampton, supporting reception class pupils with autism and complex needs. The position runs from September 2025 to July 2026, working all 5 mornings per week.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide individualized support and assistance to a specific student in Reception.
2. Collaborate with the classroom teacher to plan and deliver tailored lessons and activities to meet the student's needs.
3. Support the student's academic, social, and emotional development, promoting their confidence and independence.
4. Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
5. Adapt teaching strategies and resources to suit the student's learning style and abilities.
6. Assist with assessing the student's progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
7. Foster positive relationships with the student and maintain communication with school and parents.
8. Uphold the school's values, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
1. Level 2/3 Support Teaching or Learning qualification (or equivalent).
2. Previous experience working with children in a 1:1 capacity, preferably in an educational setting.
3. Strong empathy and understanding of individual student needs.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Patience, resilience, and emotional support skills.
6. Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving needs.
7. Knowledge of relevant teaching methodologies for supporting individual students.
8. Relevant qualifications in education or as a teaching assistant are desirable but not essential.
