GSL Education are looking to appoint a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Nottingham. This role offers the opportunity to work with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping them develop key skills, confidence, and a love for learning. Role Overview: As an EYFS Teaching Assistant (TA), you will support the class teacher in delivering engaging activities that promote early development in literacy, numeracy, communication, and personal growth. You will create a safe and stimulating environment where children feel encouraged to explore and thrive. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will: Support the class teacher in delivering activities aligned with the EYFS framework. Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups. Help develop children’s early language, social, and motor skills. Encourage positive learning behaviours through play and structured activities. Assist with classroom organisation, preparing resources, and maintaining displays. Observe and record children’s progress, sharing feedback with the teacher. Requirements for EYFS Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working within an EYFS setting or primary school. A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification is desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
