We are seeking an experienced and driven Pricing Manager to lead our Pricing team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strategic impact across all aspects of pricing.

This position sits within the senior management team, and the successful candidate will report to the Pricing & Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of existing customer pricing management and new business pricing strategy including administration of supplier cost prices and rebate income analysis.

As Pricing Manager, you will work closely with our internal sales community at all levels, our internal purchasing team and external suppliers.

Your responsibilities as a Pricing Manager will be:

Pricing Team Management

* Provide support and guidance to all individuals within the Pricing team.

* Identify knowledge gaps and provide appropriate training, support, and development.

* Ensure all work released from the department is completed to the highest standard and in line with the company's commercial strategy.

Ensure compliance with Commercial's HR, Recruitment and Payroll processes in regard to team management.

Existing Business Price Reviews

* Working alongside the Pricing Analysts, you will be responsible for ensuring periodic customer price reviews are being carried out correctly and delivered on time to the sales community.

* You will always be continually looking for areas where improvements can be made to margin and sales revenue, be it from a process improvement or margin improvement perspective.

New Business

* Like existing business, you will be working alongside the Pricing Analysts and will be responsible for ensuring that all new business proposals are delivered to the sales community effectively and in line with the company's growth strategy and on time, every time.

* You will also be responsible for finding ways that we can increase our win rate and looking to implement any new process you feel will aid this.

Ad Hoc Pricing

* From time to time, you will be responsible for carrying out and managing the pricing process of our larger clients, be it from either a new or existing business perspective.

Supplier Pricing Management

* You will be responsible for upholding and developing the current relationships that we have with our suppliers.

* A pivotal area to focus on is how we can achieve the best working relationship, from a price perspective, with all suppliers.

* You will also have responsibility for ensuring that supplier price increases are managed efficiently and price increases are mitigated or passed on to the sales community in a timely fashion to ensure we do not take a hit to margin.

Pricing Strategy Development

* Working alongside the senior management team, you will develop a strategic plan for the pricing department which will help keep costs down whilst increasing margin for the company.

About you

* The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years' industry experience in the field of pricing management, and a minimum of two years' experience in people management.
* Microsoft office proficient, advanced Microsoft Excel a must.
* Strong business and commercial acumen.
* Strong leadership skills
* Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal
* Enthusiastic and self-motivated
* Able to work under pressure
* Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise work across the team.
* A full driving license is required
* Flexibility to travel nationally may be required from time to time.
