Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering
My client, an esteemed Tier One Main Contractor, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor, or an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to make the step up, to join their commercial team in Northampton, supporting the delivery of a varied portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects valued between £200k and £10m+.
You will play a key role in cost control, forecasting, cash flow management and commercial reporting, working closely with project teams and senior stakeholders. The role offers exposure to a wide range of projects, from framework works to bespoke and emergency schemes, within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Cost and value reporting, forecasting and cash flow management
* Monthly CVRs and commercial reporting
* Subcontract procurement, negotiation and financial management
* Applications for payment through to final accounts
* Managing contractual matters, including change, claims and additional payments
* Identifying commercial opportunities and mitigating risk
Requirements
* Construction or civil engineering experience
* Knowledge of NEC and/or IChemE contracts
* Strong commercial management and subcontract procurement experience
* Proven forecasting and cost analysis skills
* Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills
Desirable
* Degree/HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
* RICS (or working towards)
* CSCS card
* Experience with a direct delivery contractor
