We assess, care, treat and transport hundreds of patients in urgent and emergency situations every day.
What will you be doing: You will be working as part of a team with either a Paramedic or an Emergency Care Assistant.
Providing lifesaving treatment and stabilizing patients preparing them for transporting.
Using your own appropriate knowledge and skills to make judgements and treatment following your level of training and competency.
Responding to operational requirements in a safe and efficient way as directed by the Emergency Control Centre.
Driving all types of approved Ambulance Service vehicles under normal and emergency (blue light) conditions in accordance with road traffic law.
Role Requirements: Hold a UK manual driving license for at least 1year driving experience and no more than 6 points on your license.
You will hold a FREC 5, AAP or IHCD Technician qualification and hold an emergency driving qualification.
Physical fitness is important in this role as there is sometimes a requirement to reach inaccessible patients in a hurry (lots of stairs), manual handling and CPR.
Have a warm and caring personality with the ability to connect with people.
Lastly, you will have quality references covering the last three years of employment history and a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
