We are recruiting Care Assistants to work bank shifts within nursing homes, residential services and assisted living settings in Rochdale. You will be supporting adults with a range of complex care needs including dementia, Alzheimer’s, brain injury and learning disabilities.
This role is ideal for experienced care staff seeking flexible shifts while maintaining consistent standards of care.
The Role
You will deliver hands on, person centred care, ensuring residents are supported safely and with dignity.
Key responsibilities
* Providing personal care including washing, dressing and toileting
* Supporting residents living with dementia and Alzheimer’s
* Supporting individuals with brain injuries and learning disabilities
* Assisting with mobility and transfers in line with care plans
* Supporting with meals, hydration and medication prompts where required
* Observing and reporting changes in health or behaviour
* Maintaining accurate daily records and handovers
* Working in line with safeguarding and health and safety procedures
* Promoting independence and wellbeing within assisted living environments
Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Care Assistant in residential, nursing or assisted living settings
* Experience supporting individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s, brain injury or learning disabilities
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
* Moving and handling knowledge
* A reliable, professional and compassionate approach
* Ability to work flexible bank shifts
