Royal Holloway Students Union is the representative body for students at Royal Holloway University. It is a not-for-profit charity employing c.50 permanent staff and over 250 part-time students, who work with four full-time elected Sabbatical Officers. The team delivers a wide range of services and representative functions to one of the most diverse student communities.
You will enjoy working in a collaborative environment and seek to innovate and refresh their offer and approach, ensuring that commercial services are relevant now and in the future. We are looking for a leader who can create a community of students who want to use and be part of the commercial services. A leader who is a people person, who will develop a proactive culture and take their people with them.
The preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate extensive experience of leading teams and developing a range of commercial services, which have engaged their customers and shown consistent growth. You will be a visionary leader, a person who can build rapport, achieve sales growth and can turn this into profit and reserves for Royal Holloway Students Union.
You are likely to have a background in retail, hospitality, facilities or events management, most of all you will be able to demonstrate transferable skills to work in all these areas. You will be a leader who can use your experience, curiosity and enthusiasm to bring new thinking and ideas to this unique role and opportunity.
You will be motivated and excited to let your entrepreneurial talent show in a great organisation to work for and see this delivered through good planning, organisational and people skills.
