Salary: £34,398 – £52,490 (M1–U3, in line with teacher pay scales)

This coeducational secondary school and sixth form hold academy status and has been consistently rated “Good” by Ofsted since 2012, with its most recent inspection in November 2024. About the Role
As a Biology Teacher, you will:
• Teach Biology across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Teach Key Stage 5 Biology, where appropriate
• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that develop scientific knowledge and curiosity
• Use a range of strategies to challenge and support learners of all abilities
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with school policies
• Contribute to the development of the Biology curriculum and wider Science provision
• Participate fully in departmental collaboration, CPD and whole-school life
• This role is suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers seeking to join a successful Science department.

Requirements
• Holds (or will hold) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by September 2026
• Has strong subject knowledge in Biology
• Is enthusiastic, reflective and committed to inclusive education

• Is eager to contribute positively to the wider life of the school
Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary of £52,490 is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to U3.
