As part of this ongoing growth, we are seeking a Financial Controller to join the Cwmbran site on a 6-month contract, with the potential for a permanent opportunity thereafter.

Role Overview
The Financial Controller will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the UK business, ensuring accurate reporting, robust financial controls, and strong commercial support to senior management. This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive and technically strong finance professional with manufacturing experience and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all aspects of the finance function for the Cwmbran site, including financial reporting, management accounting, and statutory compliance.
* Produce accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets, providing clear analysis and commentary to senior stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with group accounting policies, internal controls, and relevant legislation.
* Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control initiatives to support business performance.
* Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and drive process improvements and efficiency.
* Support audit processes (internal and external) and liaise with auditors as required.
* Oversee the finance team, ensuring effective development, motivation, and performance management.
* Contribute to strategic and operational decision-making through high-quality financial analysis and reporting.
* Participate in and lead finance transformation or systems improvement projects where needed.

Qualifications & Experience
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Strong understanding of cost accounting, stock management, and manufacturing finance processes.
* Excellent knowledge of financial systems and ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
* Demonstrable experience of leading and developing finance teams.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
* High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
* Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, global business.
