My client is a niche market leader in testing equipment. They develop and manufacture their range of products (combination of hardware, electronics, and software) in the UK and sell to a global customer base. The company is poised for significant growth.
They are now looking to recruit an Operations Director. This role is based on-site and will suit an ambitious operations specialist who has experience of high value product manufacturing with a distributed supply chain. This role reports to the Managing Director and is responsible for the operational strategic leadership of the company. The Operations Director has 5 direct reports.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute comprehensive operational strategies aligned with business growth objectives
* Collaborate with senior management team to set strategic goals, budgets, and performance metrics
* Drive business expansion initiatives and support the company's international growth strategy
* Oversee daily operations of manufacturing and production
* Manage production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimisation to meet customer demands
* Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes
* Oversee quality control systems, including ISO 9001 compliance across all operations
* Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction
* Lead customer focused process improvements
* Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across all operations
* Develop and mentor operational talent, ensuring succession planning and capability development
* Oversee IT infrastructure, systems and technology operations across all three companies with external IT service providers and technology vendor
* Lead ERP system configuration and optimisation across all business units
Benefits:
Salary £80-90,000 with an attractive benefits package.
