Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the operations of our care facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, including experience in assisted living and nursing homes. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care are provided to our residents, while also managing staff and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
* Develop, implement, and review individual care plans for residents, ensuring that their needs are met with dignity and respect.
* Supervise and support staff members, providing guidance and training as necessary to promote high-quality care.
* Oversee medication administration and ensure that all staff are trained in safe practices.
* Foster a positive environment that promotes the well-being of residents, including those with dementia and Alzheimer's care needs.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care and staff performance.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support for residents' health needs.
* Engage with families and caregivers to provide updates on resident progress and address any concerns.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a managerial role within a senior care setting, preferably in assisted living or nursing homes.
* Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and the specific needs of elderly residents.
* Qualifications in nursing or relevant health-related fields are highly desirable.
* Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing care plans and compliance documentation.
* Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and external professionals.
