Are you an experienced Sales Manager with a proven record of managing remote teams and a passion to succeed? We are recruiting for a Head of Sales to join our Travis Perkins business covering Yorkshire, North East and Cumbria.
Due to continued growth and our desire to drive for market share we have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Sales to join our winning team, to work alongside a dedicated and motivated group of colleagues. You will be responsible for driving sales and margin across the 3 sub-regions as well as directly managing 6 Area Sales Reps and 2 regional sales offices. We work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a culture that takes pride in what we do. We work as one team, achieving our goals by listening and supporting each other. Our team is brimming with some of the most creative and savvy minds in the industry, and we remain at the forefront of our markets thanks to our in-house product knowledge and brand marketing experience.
Working hours will be Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage strategic partnerships to grow market share and drive sales across three sub-regions.
* Directly manage 6 Area Sales Reps and 2 regional sales offices.
* Drive sales and margin while fostering customer loyalty and delivering excellent service.
* Use strategic and planned account management methodology to optimise opportunities across all product categories in the sub region.

* Experience managing successful sales teams.
* Proven ability to manage a number of large customers and build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally.
* Strong abilities in understanding customer objectives to develop successful strategic plans and the ability to challenge when needed.
* Identify new sales opportunities and create solutions for customers to deliver long-term profitable sales growth for both parties.
* Enthusiastic, resilient, resourceful, proactive, organized, with a passion for excellence and meeting customer expectations.
