Overview
Jackson Hogg is recruiting for a Lead Piping Engineer to join a leading EPC engineering business in Cramlington to work on Onshore oil & gas and renewable energy projects. The Lead Piping Engineer will be responsible for leading a team of engineers on complex piping projects and provide technical expertise internally and with clients. This role is full time and permanent.
Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team of engineers and designers, ensuring efficient resource allocation and high-quality outputs.
* Deliver technical consultancy on piping-related issues to clients.
* Oversee preparation, checking, and approval of design and engineering documentation.
* Implement and maintain best practices in people management, systems, and processes.
* Support business development activities by providing technical expertise.
Essential requirements
* Degree qualified (Desirable) or HNC level qualification with additional experience.
* Extensive experience in piping engineering within the onshore oil & gas/renewable energy sectors.
* Proven track record of leading multi-discipline projects.
Desirable requirements
* Degree level qualification in Engineering.
* Chartered Engineer status.
* Experience in developing and mentoring engineering teams.

Working Hours
40 hours per week, 8:30-5 Monday to Thursday, Friday 8:30 - 13:30, early finish on a Friday. 5 days in the office with a flexible working policy.
